OUR HISTORY
WAITTA began as the WA IT & T Awards, a subcommittee of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) WA Branch, whose primary role was to underwrite the Awards program.
WAITTA began passing its winners through to the National iAwards, then run by a tripartite relationship between Pearcey Foundation, AIIA and the ACS.
WAITTA had significant rebrand when the Award was renamed the INCITE Awards, reflecting incitement and innovation in ICT.
WAITTA seceded from the ACS in 2016 as an incorporated body, in full compliance with the original intention i.e. when WAITTA was sufficiently established, it would become an independent body.
WAITTA partnered with the Pearcey Foundation to provide a State award, the winner of which will be a finalist in the National Pearcey Awards.
WAITTA began passing individual State winners into the ACS National Digital Disruptors Awards. WAITTA also ran the inaugural Game Changer Awards in WA primary and secondary schools.
Alliance members start working on joint projects in a number of sectors and locations. Our first Board elected by our members.
WAITTA takes over as the organiser of the 11th putt4dough ICT Charity Golf Day from Chris Marshall to continue raising much needed funds for Perth Children's Hospital Foundation.
WAITTA celebrated 30 years of WA’s longest running premiere ICT awards program that is the INCITE Awards. We received a spectacular number of applications and final submissions for the Awards with fifty finalists making it to the second stage judging.
