Welcome to the Western Australian Information Technology and Telecommunications Alliance WAITTA

WAITTA is a non-partisan, non-aligned alliance of ICT and digital industry and professional stakeholder organisations and thought leaders – the people who provide the digital knowledge, technology and services to the WA community.

Our Vision

By 2022, WAITTA will be recognised as the advocacy group for ICT innovation in Western Australia

Our Mission & Purpose

To promote the Western Australian ICT industry and profession by showcasing excellence through awards, events and recognition programs

Our Values

Honesty ● Integrity

Commitment ● Respect

Our Patron

Professor Lyn Beazley

WAITTA is delighted to welcome Professor Lynda (Lyn) Dent Beazley as our Patron for 2020. Lyn comes with a wealth of experience in the industry, and is a neuroscientist and educator based in Perth, Western Australia.

Among other awards, Lyn was named an Officer of the Order of Australia for her contributions to medical science and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science. Lyn is also well known for promoting science and technology in the media and played a key role in bringing the internationally successful FameLab science communication competition to Australia.

Lyn is also the Ambassador for our Game Changer Awards and is actively supporting the Lateral INCITE Awards this year. Andrea Dearden, Chair of WAITTA Management Committee said "we are very privileged to have someone of Lyn's calibre and standing supporting WAITTA's purpose, and thank her for the time and commitment she has provided to industry and our cause".

Our Programs

WAITTA has two Award programs - the INCITE Awards and the Game Changer Awards - targeting both ends of the ICT digital life cycle, while facilitating information transfer and identifying opportunities for mutually beneficial activities between Alliance members and their stakeholders, and for the broader WA community.

WAITTA has joined forces with the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation and the generous IT Industry to raise much needed funds to ensure children and young people in Western Australian continue to receive world class paediatric care.

The Alliance harnesses the collective skills, energy and insights of the diverse set of alliance organisations and individual members into a collaborative ecosystem.
