The INCITE Awards

As WA’s longest-running awards event, INCITE is more than a celebration — it’s a showcase of excellence that inspires and unites the WA technology community.

The gala, held July 19, 2024 honoured outstanding achievements across government, academia, and the private sector. 

Quick stats:

  • 64 nominations received across all categories
  • 11 winning entrants, 7 Merit recipients - all progressed to the national iAwards
  • 4 WA winners at national iAwards - Containers for Change (WARRRL), EarFlo, VetChip and NGIS
  • 1 WA entrant - Containers for Changer (WARRRL) - progressed in the Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (the APICTAs)

The Game Changer Awards 

The 2024 Game Changer Awards showcased the creativity and innovation of Western Australian students as they presented their STEM-driven ideas and solutions to real-world challenges.

Aligned with the United Nations' 17 Sustainability Goals, the event encouraged young minds to tackle pressing global issues through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. 

Quick stats:

  • 108 teams, 400+ students participated in Game Changers
  • 90 dedicated industry judges
  • 12 winners recognised for presentation skills, STEM skills and overall approach to Game Changers' participation
  • 1 winning Chair's Award team, which presented at the 2024 West Tech Fest Young Entrepreneurs' Showcase

Putt4Dough

The 2024 Putt4Dough charity IT golf event was another standout, supporting the Perth Children's Hospital Foundation's PROTECT program.

The event featured special guest Matt Hale, Australia's Comedy Hypnotist, and thanks to the tech industry and community, we raised $82,000 this year for PCHF.

  • 32 teams teams teed off in the name of charity
  • $82,000 raised for Perth Children's Hospital Foundation PROTECT project
  • 8 event sponsors alongside 32 player sponsor teams
  • 1 hilarious hypnotist!
