WAITTA’s MISSION & PURPOSE IS
To this end, WAITTA has two Award programs targeting both ends of the ICT digital life cycle, while facilitating information transfer and identifying opportunities for mutually beneficial activities between Alliance members and their stakeholders, and for the broader WA community.
The INCITE Awards is WA's longest running Tech Awards Program (since 1991) and the premier event in ICT for our State. The program aims to
showcase and support ICT innovators in WA through an Awards system that will place their tech on the national and global map. Organisational
award winners proceed through to the national iAwards and international Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA), whilst individual award winners
proceed through to the national ACS Digital Disruptors Awards.
The inaugural Game Changer Awards were held in 2017 and is an opportunity for children in Year 3 to Year 10, to showcase their innovative
solutions to the world's challenges, using project-based learning, STEM skills, project-based learning, organisation, teamwork and
presentation skills. The Game Changer Awards is an opportunity to showcases WA STEM Programs and the innovation shown by the next
generation.
In 2020, WAITTA has joined forces with Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation and the generous IT Industry to raise much needed funds to
ensure our sick kids and young people continue to receive world class paediatric care. This event promotes good business amongst the sector
and provides an important opportunity for industry professionals to network, raise vital funds and importantly, to have lots of fun
throughout the day.
