The funds raised through putt4dough 2024 will help support a world-first international study led by Perth Children’s Hospital, aimed at improving disability-free survival rates in very premature babies.
Perth Children's Hospital Foundation's Alex Harper and putt4dough organiser Colin Janssen celebrate putt4dough raising $82,000 for WA's sick kids.
The PROTECT Phase 3 clinical trial urgently requires funding to continue testing a safe, anti-inflammatory drug that could significantly enhance survival outcomes without disabilities. This groundbreaking research has the potential to transform the lives of WA's most vulnerable babies and their families, while also saving millions of dollars in healthcare costs globally.
Held at Joondalup Resort, this year’s putt4dough once again demonstrated the power of collaboration, as players, sponsors, and volunteers teed off for a meaningful cause. Along with major event sponsor Arista Networks, 31 teams competed on the green followed by the event's annual charity auction dinner hosted by sports commentator and radio personality Karl Langdon.
The day was packed with friendly competition across the green, lively novelty holes, and heartfelt moments. Special thanks to entertainment highlight Matt Hale – Australia's Comedy Hypnotist and to the generous bidders at the charity auction, who snatched up an incredible range of items for a good cause.
Since its inception, putt4dough has raised $800,000 for Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, contributing to life-changing programs that make a real difference in our community.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, or supported this year’s event.
Keep an eye out for next year’s putt4dough and join us in continuing this proud tradition of giving back.
